Wire Sawing

This technique has proven to be ideal for removing thick sections of concrete.

A multi-strand cable with diamond segments is threaded through a series of pulleys and is continuously pulled through the concrete. Since virtually no concrete structure or cross-section is too large to cut, wire saws are used where other concrete cutting methods have proved impractical. We have two hydrostress machines which produce minimal noise transference and no vibration.

We use wire sawing where the concrete is thicker than 700mm, where access is difficult and space restricted and where there is a restriction on the amount of noise that we can make. Wire saws are safe, dust free, create no flying debris and leave a smooth exposed surface.
